Board Newsletter

There are lots of good work from your neighbors helping to make our community more sound and safe.

  • Financial and Cash Flow & AR overview - We remain within presented budget both operational and capital with more closings contributing to VAPL capital account

  • Discussion/proposals/ideas from Landscape Committee:

    • Committee helped engage a separate landscape company to plant at entrance

    • Dead trees identified and have been marked for removal in June

  • Discussion of ideas/items from Social Committee - they decided to add two tables and chairs, blinds and some more lighting in our game room

    • Excited to now have our own VAPL webpage and messaging systems! Give some thank you to Daniel Dingess for creating the website and Lupe Younce and Barbara Bratten for administering it. We are looking for more photos and ideas from you

    • Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby party at clubhouse was a blast! Thanks to our friends on the committee for pulling it together!

    • Women’s Bunco in evening and afternoon; Men’s Game Nights; Community Game Nights; Bocce Ball every Tuesday evening. It’s easy to jump in; all welcome; just check the VAPL website.

  • Other items of note:

    • Geese Police were made aware of far less goose activities. They are willing to pick up services as we request. Their molting season (no flying) comes soon

    • We are also working with Yellowstone Landscaping with all the rain and shoring up the teams while they seek qualified labor which is a challenge. We are in regular conversation with their management team.

    • We are monitoring when to trim weed growth around our lake now that the rain will produce fast growth.

    • Many have been talking about another or larger fountain for the lake and conversation of perhaps using volunteer contributions if there is support

    • Your directors are aware that most every home experiences issues for poor drainage and sod and tree loss. If you want to replace sod or trees or shrubs, we support those efforts nearly always. Just make HMS aware so we can make certain we are consistent and replacing with proper plants.

There is always something going on at Presley Lake. Let’s prepare for a wonderful summer with friends and family!
